If U3 now comes with its own uninstall option, I am glad this post is redundant. Busbii Flash Drive should say something like “Disk 1, removable”, to the right it should have a blue line which means it’s a primary partition.
Unfortunately, on inserting this drive several strange things happened to my computer. But for DJing the combination of Traktor, two stereo outputs, a good complement of actual knobs and switches, good visual feedback, and the killer controller knob adds up to a very capable package.
We decided on the cheapest Busbi 1GB unit at the local Argos. Thanks for the U3 removal info.

Reinstall or Restore U3 LaunchPad Software into USB Flash Smart Drive

Sure you can choose to remove U3, but if you had actually thought to read up on what benefits U3 might have for you, you may have decided to try it out instead of crying about the auto-launch feature – which by the way you can turn off.
I still haven’t figured out how it got around that. If you want to run self-contained virtual applications, use ThinApps or similar.
My busbi 2gb usb key is write protected and will not let me delete files off it
I try to delete some file on it. On inspection it was evident that the drive had automatically installed itself as two different partitions. The first contains a read-only software package called U3, and the second has the executable application component plus a documents folder.

If it says the drive is write protected it means either it was formatted this way. Great with the uninstall facility? Plug the Ultra Backup drive to the PC. Click the U3 icon on the system tray.

U3 is a tool bsubi some people like and some people hate. There is support only for JPG so other formats get converted and reduced in quality. Perhaps this was in deference to local preferences, but I would have rather been asked.
