Copyright -Tech Support Forum. It takes for ever to load the Live CD and sometimes does not load it correctly although I did get full load yesterday.
That download says it’s for Windows 7. I get 2 error messages.

I recently purchased this laptop on eBay. If theres no usb boot option in your Bios you cant do it, you could make a boot floppy thats boots up initially then continues the rest of the boot on the USB.
Old Compaq V2000 BIOS Question

I was told it had some problems but didn’t know what until I tried to boot it up. I coompaq you have windows xp but that is a long time ago for me so it is a bit diffrent. This was barely a solution. Turn off the computer and wait 5 seconds.

The doors of wisdom are never shut. Problem is I don’t think this particular laptop likes the more ubs release of Ubuntu for some reason.
