Wood Brothers hardened their persimmon in the same fashion. It was done in the “Glory” days of persimmon.

macgreglr One set is persimmon and one set is laminate. I want all of those and these: I will get my woods refinished someday by someone who can restore a wood to original finish.

It was a collector’s item as much as anything, since it did not have a Dynamic shaft, but macregor original MacGregor shaft. Posted 30 January – Any further advice very much appreciated! The sound and feel of a balata ball struck in the sweet spot of a solid persimmon driver is something that cannot be explained. I mcagregor my First Flight a couple of months ago Sell one like this.

Of course they would never be passed ooff as real, they would just be wall hangers. I have a nice example downstairs, and it always looks great to me.
